Batman Sketch

Another one from the past. This pencil sketch was done back in 1992. I did this right around the time Batman Returns came out. Micheal Keaton was pretty good as Batman. This was sketched based on the cover of a Starlog magazine. I liked the revision to the first costume.

Well I had fun the other day doing the Flash background. I decided to take a crack at Batman. So here is a couple wallpapers to download if you like them. I created them for my 24" iMac so they are pretty big. I created these in Photoshop from scratch-no quicky layer effects here.

As for the subject matter. Superheroes are my interest. I was inspired by a thumbnail image of a similar Flash symbol. For the sake of the exercise I started over with many layers in PS. It is fun trying to think about the surfaces and the way light might react to them. Let me know if you like them.
